Arabic astrology has long spoken of the mansions of the moon. There are 28 mansions, divided by 360 degrees, each mansion holds a space in the sky of approximately 12.85 degrees, 51 minutes, 26 seconds of arc.  They are positioned (boundaried) in a specific constellation (group of stars) of the zodiac (e.g. Aries, Taurus, Gemini etc). Because of this, each mansion is responsible for an approximate 13-day period each year.
